Clark County School District (CCSD) is the fifth largest in the United States. It operates on one of the nation’s largest school construction and modernization programs.

The district opened 11 new schools in the fall 2005 (7 elementary, 3 middle and 1 high school) and is scheduled to open 10 new schools in August 2006. With approximately 6,000 new residents a month moving to Clark County, CCSD prepares for an estimated 371,140 students by2010. Enrollment for 2005-2006 was 291,510 students.
The school district employs over 35,212 people, including full-time, part-time, substitute, temporary, and student employees.

CCSD offers arrange of programs for the special needs of their students. In addition to core curriculum, CCSD offers magnet schools and programs, various accelerated and Advanced Placement programs and special education services.
